چکیده
The subfamily Bambusoideae comprises three monophyletic tribes, Arundinarieae, Bambuseae and Olyreae. Here we report the gametic number chromosomal meiotic behavior of two species belonging to herbaceous tribe Olyreae, Olyra latifolia humilis. Accessions were collected in Misiones, at Northeastern Argentina. We a new for O. humilis, n=18, confirmed n=11 latifolia. Chromosomal features, like basic chromosome number, are important understanding evolution Poaceae family, especially delimiting clades elucidate inter intra-clades relationships, therefore it is necessary continue producing this type data. Panama as a crucial centre of differentiation for the herbaceous bamboos (Poaceae: Bambusoideae: Olyreae): a study in progress
This contribution introduces the ongoing research on herbaceous bamboos started by the University of Florence (FT herbarium), the Universidad de Panama (PMA herbarium) and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in 2011. The main goal of this project consists in collecting field data, in order to provide updated material to be used in a phylogenetic analysis to improve the knowledge of the ...
متن کاملA new species of Rhopalosiphum (Hemiptera, Aphididae) on Chusquea tomentosa (Poaceae, Bambusoideae) from Costa Rica
The new species Rhopalosiphum chusqueae Pérez Hidalgo & Villalobos Muller, is described from apterous viviparous females caught on Chusquea tomentosa in Cerro de la Muerte (Costa Rica). The identity of the species is supported both by the morphological features and by a molecular phylogenetic analysis based on a fragment of the mitochondrial DNA containing the 5' region of the cytochrome c oxid...

Gelidocalamus xunwuensis W.G.Zhang & G.Y.Yang, a new species collected from Xunwu County of Jiangxi Province in China, is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to G. stellatus in the habit, but differs by internodes sparsely hairy with granuliferous warts, culm sheath stiffly hairy, culm sheath blade broadly lanceolate to narrowly triangular, each node with a ring of appressed t...
متن کاملClassification and Biogeography of New World Grasses: Anomochlooideae, Pharoideae, Ehrhartoideae, and Bambusoideae
Molecular data support Anomochlooideae and Pharoideae as the two most basal extant clades within Poaceae. Anomochlooideae are endemic to the New World and have two tribes and two genera including the widespread Streptochaeteae (3–4 spp.) and the critically endangered Anomochloeae (1 sp.) of coastal Bahia, Brazil. Pharoideae are pantropical with one tribe, three genera, and 14 species; all eight...

A new species assigned to the genus Trichomycterus from the area of the waterfalls of Tabay stream, Paraná River basin, Misiones, Argentina, is described. Trichomycterus ytororo sp. nov. is distinguished from all other species in the genus by the presence of 31-35 dorsal procurrent caudal-fin rays and the combination of some external characters such as: coloration, number of pectoral-fin rays a...
